AFC Bournemouth failed to extend their lead at the top of the table
as they were held 1-1 at Team Weston. Nicola Granville scored for the
hosts. Weston are still searching or their first win of the season.

AFC Bournemouth surrendered the leadership of the South West
Combination, after a 3-1 reverse at Plymouth Argyle. Bournemouth's
Lindsey Roe smashed a shot against the woodwork but Laura Perrett
netted a dubious free-kick for Argyle when Cherries Keeper K. Isom was
bundled over the line with her hands on the ball. Chloe Roberts added
a 76th minute penalty when Claire Heydon pulled down Plymouths 10 in
the box. The Cherries pulled a
goal back after Roe fed the ball to Kirsty Bell to make for a
tense finale and subsequently switched to 3-4-3 in search of the
equaliser. Bournemouth were soon reduced to 10 players when Lauren
Little had to go off with a nasty head injury and all substitutions
had been made. Plymouth took advantage of the one player advantage and
Roberts added her second in the last minute. |
