| At home to Team Weston. The away fixture in October proved to be a frustrating one for Bournemouth who felt that they should have taken all three points after coming from behind. Unfortunately for Bournemouth they had to face this fixture with yet another player added to the treatment table, as striker Kirsty Bell sustained a broken foot during last weeks cup tie and will be sidelined for 6 weeks.
The game kicked off with real pace from the cherries who looked eager to set their stall out early and frustrate Weston with good possession of the ball. It took just 5 mins for Bournemouth to test the resolve of the Weston back four, and with some superb link up play between Langrish and Roe the cherries were unfortunate not to get off to an early start on the scoring front. Goater played in a waited ball to Keehan on the right flank, who whipped in a cracking ball to find Roe at the back post, but she was unable to convert.
Bournemouth appeared to have effectively pinned Weston deep into their defending third for the best part of 20mins and had created no less than eight openings and possible scoring opportunities, which had manager Shaun Langrish scratching his head and wishing he had brought his boots. But on 22mins, Roe wrestled her way through midfield after numerous attempts to bring her down; Langrish (Lisa) marked the spot with a fine run for Roe to pop the ball too. With some quick feet Langrish picked out keehan, who made no mistake drilling the ball through the GOAL.
There came a further two attempts on goal for the cherries with no reply as Little at full back also found herself free to push forward on a number of occasions . On 27mins Howarth at centre half found Roe screaming for the ball on the left flank. With some of her renowned individual skill Roe fooled the Weston full back and found Langrish steaming into space in the centre. With one touch to mislead the keeper langrish buried the ball in the net. GOAL.
Weston pumped the ball forward in search of a reply before the break, but with the wind against them and some confident defending from Grierson and Fisher were unsuccessful in their limited attempts.
HT 2 - 0
Bournemouth came out for the second half knowing that at 2 - 0 Weston would still feel very much in the game and were quite capable of scoring given half a chance. The all elusive third goal was evidently high on the agenda as the Cherries continued to push forward. Morgan spotted the run of Goater down the right flank who took a blow in the face before playing the ball back to Little, with a quick look up Little put in another sublime ball for Langrish to slot home. GOAL.
Weston worked hard to push forward with the wind up their backs and were rewarded on 61mins when the cherries were caught napping, a brilliantly placed ball was driven in for Weston 11 who struck first time. Simkin saved well, but was unable to prevent the rebound. GOAL.
After the restart Bournemouth determined to keep a comfortable lead went shooting forward; Goater again on the right flank, with support from Little who again demanded the ball drilled in another fine cross, Roe, Langrish and Keehan were all ready, but it was Keehan who stepped forward to put the game beyond reach with a great finish high in the roof of the net.
Bournemouth appeared to enjoy the rest of the game, and continued to play some excellent football for periods of the game.
